KINDLE ✓ SelfDiscovery at Sea á Neil Hawkesford

In A Foolish Voyage Neil Hawkesford gives us a remarkable tale not just about sailing but about life Good times and bad Here we learn what happens at the very limits of physical emotional and mental endurance Here we also learn how personal tragedy can lead to a life changing discovery the realization that hidden deep inside all of us is the perseverance and passion needed for achieving life's greatest goals I don't know about A Foolish Voyage but this has turned out to be a foolish purchase I've given up driven away but the shear drudgery of the story telling bad grammar and spelling However the single most annoying thing about the whole book is the constant reference to Mor Gwas the name of the authors boat On every page the author refers to Mor Gwas this and Mor Gwas that I think on one page alone he manages to get this in 5 times I'm reasonably certain that had I stuck with the book he'll beat this somewhere but I'm past caring and bored silly Save yourself the bother of checking me and avoid a poorly written book instead

BOOK A Foolish Voyage

A Foolish Voyage Self Discovery at SeaIn A Foolish Voyage Neil Hawkesford gives us a remarkable tale not just about sailing but about life Good times and bad Here we learn what happens at the very limits of physical emotional and mental endurance Here we also learn how personal tragedy can lead to a life changing discovery the realization that hidden deep inside all of us is the perseverance and passion needed for achieving life's greatest goal This is a great book I have read uite a few 'self discovery' sailing books A lot of them are uite one dimensional with either too much focus on the technical aspects of sailing a simple travelogue or a basic adventure story This book is very different It has elements of all of those things but it is the wonderfully clear writing style and personal honesty that lifts it above the others I have been living on my boat for almost a year and have had one or two mini adventures in that time So obviously it is a book that is going to appeal to me However I am going to try this book out on some of my friends who are a bit mystified with this whole 'Sea Gypsy' thing I am not sure if it will convert them but they will certainly get what it is all about by the time they put the book down Thanks for writing it
