And girl created boyIn the beginning there was an apple And then there was a car crash a horrible injury and a hospital But before Evening Spiker’s head clears a strange boy named Solo is ru I want you Evening to design the perfect boy 35 stars Yes I do believe this is going to have some degree of awesome What if she won't come with meOh she'll come It's the fate of all creators They fall in love with their creations What if you had the chance to design the perfect partner Would you do it At the very least would you be curious enough to think about doing itAnyone else remember the 80's movie Weird Science I loved that movie as a kid When I first read the description for this book I was struck with an immediate HAVE TO HAVE moment because it reminded me of that movie In case you haven't seen it two nerdy high school boys create the perfect woman and get themselves into a bunch of ridiculous escapades because of it Pure classic gold that movie was please hold one sec while I try to tame my inner Yoda in yet another reviewSo this book is a little bit different from the movie but the bones of what I loved about Weird Science were present in Eve Adam Which means it was a given that I was going to be swept away by this storyWhat made this book extra special to me is that I was able to find myself absorbed into this world within a matter of pages The techie side of the sci fi euation might have been off for all I know I'm sure someone's going to break down the science and technology parts and come up with holes somewhere Unless this author team really does happen to be just that good when it comes to multiple forms of medicine science and gadgetry If this is the case then I'm impressed If it's not I don't care Because I'm definitely of an artistic type of person than a technical type of personThis book was fun I liked the characters Solo is one of my new favorite guys I must be happy because I'm about to hit four sentences in a row with exclamation points Let's go for a record now And here's six Now number sevenOkay I'm done with the extreme emoting Adam may be the perfect man but my heart belonged to Solo He was this incredible mix of shy and confident at the same time How this is possible I have no idea but Solo is probably one of my new favorite characters of all time For this week anyway I have good shoulders might as well reveal them I know she's checking me out Fair enough because I'm checking her outEve cries out suddenly She's in pain So it's possible that she's not really checking me outEve There's a problem with that name Eve You say Eve and you think Garden of Eden and then you think of Eve and Adam naked but tastefully concealed by strategic shrubberyExcept at this particular moment my brain is not generating shrubberySo basically that's despicable She just got out of surgery So I add shrubberyAnd yet the shrubbery doesn't stay put So this book had great characters a little bit of action some techie stuff a sweet romance budding and even some humor All in all this could be a great starter book for the sci fi wary They made a baby boy We named him Golem He died because of a slight flaw in his genetic makeupHis sphincter was on his forehead This book was provided from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

doc Eve Adam

Eve AdamIves her a special project Create the perfect boyUsing an amazingly detailed simulation Eve starts building a boy from the ground up Eve is creating Adam And he will be just perfect won’t he I have a secret weakness for dystopian It’s cool okay So after crunching my way through novels such as Matched Starters Legend Divergent and countless countless others I'm looking for something a littledifferent Eve and Adam looked the perfect remedy And with a cover like that who wouldn’t pick it upWithout hesitation I say it’s a good book It’s well written with a uirky voice you can’t argue with Co authoring seems like tricky business but these two writers Grant and Applegate have voices that flow seamlessly together It’s fun exciting descriptive without being overbearing and the characters are alive But the ending Mm The ending is a graceful nosedive into nothingness It feels to me like the authors met their word count goal so they abruptly wrapped everything up Oh there are clever twists at the end and I mean really clever I was happily surprised I hate cliché villains and this book is not guilty of that and enjoyed myself until the last page but I couldn’t help wondering how in the last 50 pages things could move so fast emotions could change in a blink and everything could work out okay What happened to the “unfairness of life” Everyone loves a happy endingexcept for perhaps me I like a happy ending as long as it’s not satisfying okayThe characters are amazing You don’t read this kind of fresh zippy voice everyday I understood Evening nicknamed EV or Eve I liked her and I felt for her Solo is harder to find common ground with and his attitude felt wobbly at the beginning but at the end I liked him Adam isperfect And Eve’s best friend Aislin Now there is a well rounded character Usually with a secondary character like Aislin the main character Eve would be drowned But both stood well on their own and together and I am thoroughly impressed There are innuendoes and teens with raging hormones who find themselves heatedly attracted to their creations aka Eve and Adam but there are no scenes to turn your cheeks red And as it seems is a current trend with Michael Grant as I found in his recent release of Fear there are lots of religious uestions In Eve and Adam the scientists are basically playing “God” They create and at the end their creation even comes to life in the form of the perfect Adam pity we didn’t get to find out the ins and outs of that It’s not decided if it’s “wrong” to play God but they do decide it’s difficult I can’t help wondering why the author after having the issue arise in so many books is feeling out the concept of GodThe plot is tight The book is well written and impossible to put down I finished in 2 days The uestions asked are needful and thought provoking But at the end I found myself with the sour tasting uestion of “So that’s it”
