Join or create book clubs ✓ The Apprentice: A Rizzoli & Isles Novel BOOK AlGerritsen was a medic before she turned to writing and her book contains enough grisly details to put you off hospitals for life But if you like your crime medicine strong this will keep you gripped MAIL ON SUNDAYA KILLER WHO KNOWS HIS TRADE A series of horrific murders seem disturbingly familiar to Detective Jane Rizzoli They remind her and Forensic Pathologist Maura Isles of those committed by a killer known as The Surgeon who they recently put behind barsWhile theyre still trying to track down the new killer the unthinkable happens The Surgeon escapes Suddenly Jane is chasing not one but two brilliant and twisted minds united by one go Another splendid read And I know I am sooooo late coming to the Gerritsen party like 13 years but I'm going to go through this series in order so I'll take some years to play catch up I suppose it's just as well I don't subscribe to my TV service and can't get the television series as it would no doubt throw up heaps of spoilersOnce again Rizzoli is the heroine of the story and though we encounter Isles again we really don't see much of her at all as things stand I liked Korsak a great deal though I was less sure about the new FBI chap Deanhe's a little too slick for my likingIt leaves you at the end with a cliffhanger which was cleverly done I had wondered where things would be left as I was very aware I had almost finished it Can't wait to get to the next one Once again there were some very funny little remarks in it I liked her nice little acknowledgement at the beginning about 911 as wellThis perhaps needs a formatting investigation as it was either in a tiny font or huge no stages in between on whichever device I was reading it on I had to look up a lot of the medical words used and one of them periapical even the on board dictionary was baffled about but luckily I located it on Google I've also never heard the term lamb in the chute Here we use lamb to the slaughterA series I'd recommend for sure though
