The reveal honestly I couldn't see it coming since not many clues were given as to make look in that direction

Ision is the calling card the killer left behind For Hunter there is no doubt that the killer is trying to communicate with the police but the method is unlike anything he's ever seen before And what could the hidden message be? Just as Hunter and his partner Garcia reckon they've found a lead a new body is found and a new callin I bought this book originally under the impression that Chris Carter of the X files fame had also expanded as a writer and was mistaken on that account This is no Mulder and Scully tale even is Mulder was a profiler originally This is a book with graphic cruelty perpetrated by one sick puppy of an serial killer who does like to leave some pretty graphic messages behind for the Policemen chasing this over the top killer The story is well enough paced with short chapter that are easy and uick to read The conclusion of the book is somewhat of an surprise even if the construction of the solution feels somewhat contrived But it works well enoughA surprising easy and comfortable read for people with a strong stomach and in interest in serial killers This book is form the perspective of the detective Robert Hunter so you never get an insight in the psyche of the killer so the resolution is a who done it than anything elseAn interesting first meeting of this writer will see if I can find some of his writings

The Death SculptorG card But with no apparent link between the first and second victims all the progress they've made so far goes out of the window Pushed into an uncomfortable alliance with the confident Alice Beaumont Hunter must race to put together the pieces of the investigation before the Death Sculptor puts the final touches to his masterpie While I enjoyed this book I didn’t find it to be as gripping as the last three in the Robert Hunter series While as per usual the story line was uick to get started and the murders were incredibly gruesome in a brand new fashion in this book there was something about the intensity of the last books that I just didn’t find in this one However I will say that the book was cleverly written with the way the murders where done and how until the reveal I remained clueless as to who the murder was which does add a level of intrigue and the usual enjoyment of the explanation once the killer was revealed as to how all the bits of information add up to this individual There is a new character added into this book that gives it a new angle on the investigation and does hint that in the next few books there might be a possible romantic element It was another good book but just one that was missing something for me however I do intend to continue with the series and hope that the rest have that little extra something that makes it a brilliant read
